Does it hurt when you get your ears pierced?

I asked my mom if I could get my ears pierced today and she said yes. I will get them pierced soon and I've read that a lot of people say it hurts a little or not at all. I just want to be sure. On a scale of 1(Painless) to 10 (OMG this hurts so bad) what does it feel like?
