Personification about a bed?

I have to write a descriptive paragraph about my uncle's death. I need either a metaphor or personification about his now empty bed. I actually need 4 different examples of figurative language but i really want one about his empty bed. I have already used a simile. but if you have any good figurative language examples about a death or you have experience please let me know because i am having some trouble. thanks
