Is this social anxiety?

I dont know how to explain this.. Okay so i work at the mall and im fine talking to women kids friends, but omg when it comes to some guys, not all older guys i get really nervous and feel extremely uncomfortable if they say thanks sweetheart or something. Its so strange. And when i see any school teachers i get nervous too, but when im with friends and women strangers and old senile people im totally cool..is it a fatherless feeling? I lost my dad when i was 12.. Is this social anxiety? Mild case?
