He cancel the date? 10points?

Omg i just go a text from this guy im i suppose to be going on a date to weekend, and he cancel the date. Saying he has a family thing. Should i be mad? He ask if i smoke cigs and i told him yes, but im quitting. Do you think he turn off from that?
